The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you’re looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn’t have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn’t employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to locate your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This Quietest Robot Vacuum can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of one button. You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however irobot vacuum and mop combo promises it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It’s a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home’s layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it’s a small cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three times, even when you’ve got the most dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to an empty bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo treats your abode. That’s a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there’s some clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big–it’s over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds–the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can control it even when you’re away from home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested due to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren’t often found on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It’s also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category and could mean it’s slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app’s settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or Quietest Robot Vacuum children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn’t quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
