The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good choice if you’re looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It’s a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
It’s easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of the button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and eufy robot Vacuum cleaner rice or go for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn’t lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It’s the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It’s a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It’s a nice premise, however, we’re not convinced it’s enough to justify the price tag.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it’s an affordable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac’s tank for Eufy robot vacuum cleaner dust is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.
You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. That’s a handy feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or there’s clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the Eufy robot vacuum Cleaner into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could want. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It’s akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you’re not at home. It also has a smart robot vacuum routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested because of its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we’ve seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features that you aren’t likely to find on robots at this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are great, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It’s slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you’ll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app’s settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn’t as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
