iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
This robot vacuum is not scared to take on the stairs, unlike other models. But, just like any other mop or vacuum, it can get clogged by debris, such as the stray tennis shoes, ribbons and yarn, play jewelry or other loose objects.
The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. You can also monitor the progress of your mops and their battery levels.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo J7+ is a robot vacuum with self empty vacuum and mop that combine the smart mapping capabilities of iRobot and its ability to deal with spills. It is equipped with the same acoustic sensor that is onboard and iAdapt 2.0 Navigation as the other Roomba models and maps your home seven times faster than previous versions. It also lets you set Keep Out Zones and Clean Zones to tell the robot which areas it should avoid and when to clean them.
The j7’s most important feature is its robotic arm which keeps the mop pad hidden away when not in use, and then lowers it to clean carpets or hard flooring. The concept is to prevent spraying water onto the rug and the Combo j7+ does a good job of it in my testing. The robot was not able to cross the rug, even though I moved it around many times.
The arm comes with a 240mL tank that is easily removed and refilled. This makes it easier to use as opposed to the mop pads that are found on many other 2-in-1 robotic arms. It is equipped with iRobot PrevisionVision obstacle-avoidance technology which is more advanced than other systems of this type.
iRobot Combo i5
This multitasker can vacuum and mop with one machine. Its vacuuming is done by a specialised bin that holds up to 60 days’ worth of debris, which iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust re-released into the air during the process. The i5+ also comes with dual multi-surface rubber brush heads and Power-Lifting Suction to tackle dirt, dust pet hair, and stains on hard floors. Simply swap the mopping robot vacuum cleaner Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you’re set to mop.
The i5+ uses iRobot OS, which means it gets smarter as you use it. It will learn your floorplan, creating a Smart Map that remembers room names and your personal cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to create a schedule, or tell the robot to clean a certain room.
iRobot has integrated the ability to recognise household clutter, including cords shoes, toys, and bags. It will then automatically stop and return to dock, allowing it to recharge and finish the cleaning job at a later time. It is voice-compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri, and understands around 600 voice commands. This is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.
iRobot Combo j5
This robotic vacuum and mop from iRobot is a great choice for homes with both carpets and hard floors. It utilizes intelligent mapping to eliminate obstacles and efficiently clean. It also has various mopping options, including the powerful SmartScrub system that helps clean tough stains. In addition, it can set No Mop Zones to ensure that carpets don’t get getting sucked up. Additionally, its dock automatically refills the mopping solution. This model is more costly than the previous Roomba Combo J7+ but comes with more features.
Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies a pressure to the floor, allowing more thorough cleaning. It also removes tough stains. It also can reach under furniture and in tight spaces to provide a thorough clean. The Combo j5+ is also compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt removal.

It can create a map for your entire home, meaning it can clean wherever you’d like in a single run. It also recognizes and avoids items like backpacks, cords, pet toys, litter boxes and shoes, socks and many more to ensure that you are free of clutter. With the iRobot app you can plan your home’s cleaning schedule and manage your robot from any location.
iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It still has a HEPA-filter to remove allergens, and the same fantastic dust compartment that is outside, but it now supports smart mapping. This means you can set up no-go zones to stop it from cleaning those areas in the future. The i3 Plus has a lot of other amazing features, including its advanced cleaning system and 10x power-lifting vacuum. It also comes with a three-stage cleaning procedure. It also has a textured surface to ward off dust, fingerprints and hair of pets.
It cleans most debris and is great on unfinished flooring, but did experience problems with pet hair on carpets with low pile. It does an excellent job with carpets with a high pile and is much quieter than its competitors. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying system that emptys the dirtbag, refills its water reservoir, and cleans the mop pads.
With the i3 application, you can make schedules for cleaning at a time that suits your needs. You can also utilize your voice assistant to control your robot and start or stop the cleaning. It also tracks your home’s unique layout to provide personalized cleaning habits and scheduling. It makes use of advanced mapping sensors to guide you through hardwood and carpet floors, and it also teaches you how to clean your home to maximize performance.
iRobot Combo i2

It does, however, come with a strong vacuum system and samsung Robot Vacuum rubber brushes that do not get caught in pet hair. It’s a great option for homes that have high-pile carpets because it can handle more dirt and debris than weaker vacuums. The i4 is also less invasive in terms of maintenance requirements, incurs lower cost of maintenance and runs longer in its least powerful suction mode than the i7.
