The Q Revo is an excellent option if you’re looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It’s a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn’t use LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn’t lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It’s the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It’s a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It’s a nice claim, however, we’re not convinced it’s enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that’s not a major issue when you’re looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac’s tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. You can also design and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there’s some items that need to be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you’d expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It’s akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive–it’s nearly two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds–the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot vacuum deals we’ve tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we’ve seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren’t typically found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It’s also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it’s slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there’s one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it back to its base station.
